Stein Sperling is once again a proud sponsor of the 28th annual Home Court charity basketball game. Hill’s Angels vs. Hoya Lawyas sees members of Congress facing off against Georgetown Law faculty and staff on Wednesday, March 25.
Started by a group of Georgetown Law students in 1988, Home Court has grown to become the most significant fundraiser for The Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless. Stein Sperling's Jeffery Schwaber was among the group of students that founded the event. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $6.5 million for the legal clinic whose mission is to “use the law to make justice a reality for our neighbors who struggle with homelessness and poverty.”
The 2015 Congressional team, the Hill’s Angels, will be led by Sen. Robert P. Casey (D-Pa.) and Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-Kan.), and the Hoya Lawyas will be led by Georgetown Law Dean William Treanor, Dean of Students Mitchell Bailin and Adjunct Professor and Ethics Counsel Michael Frisch.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25. Tip-off is at 8 p.m. The game will be held at Gonzaga College High School at 19 I Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. Tickets are $15 or $20 with a t-shirt. They will be sold at the door or can be reserved in advance here.
