Stein Sperling principals Millard Bennett, Dave Driscoll, Ann Jakabcin, Paul Stein and Steve Widdes were recently selected by their peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© 2014 (Copyright 2013 by Woodward/White, Inc., of Aiken, SC).

Since it was first published in 1983, Best Lawyers® has become regarded among the definitive guide to legal excellence. Because Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which almost 50,000 leading attorneys cast nearly five million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas, and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”

Millard Bennett was again recognized this year in the field of Commercial Litigation. He serves as managing partner of Stein Sperling and as Co-Chair of the firm’s Business Law department. His practice is concentrated in the areas of business organization, business ownership conflicts, conflict resolution, transition of ownership interests, estate planning and civil litigation.

Dave Driscoll was again recognized as a top lawyer in Criminal Defense (Non-White-Collar). He is Co-Chair of the firm’s Criminal Law practice group and a senior member of the Family Law and Civil Litigation groups.

Ann Jakabcin was selected for the field of Trusts and Estates Law. As Co-Chair of the Estates and Trusts Practice Group, she concentrates her practice in estate planning for large and small estates, lifetime wealth planning and estate and trust administration.

Paul Stein was recognized as a top lawyer in Criminal Defense (Non-White-Collar) and Commercial Litigation, and in Family Law. He is Co-Chair of Stein Sperling’s Criminal Law and Family Law practice groups and concentrates his practice in the areas of complex contested family law matters and criminal defense.
