Stein Sperling principal Jeff Schwaber was quoted in an article posted to the Washington Business Journal's website on Tuesday, July 23. The article discussed a Montgomery County Circuit Court case where Schwaber is defending real estate broker Ari Firoozabadi and Greysteel Co. LLC against charges from his former employer, Marcus & Millichap. These charges were dismissed by Judge Ronald Rubin on July 2.
Below is an excerpt from the article by staff reporter Daniel Sernoivitz, who covers commercial real estate for the Washington Business Journal.
"Parts of the suit are still pending, including damages Greysteel is seeking from Marcus & Millichap, but a Greysteel representative said he believes Rubin’s ruling reinforces Greysteel’s claims that the case was without merit.
'I believe this was a groundless case that should never have been brought, and we’re gratified that Judge Rubin ruled in our favor,' said Jeff Schwaber, an attorney with Stein, Sperling, Bennet De Jong Driscoll PC who represented Firoozabadi and Greysteel. 'Greysteel feels vindicated by the result and looks forward to continuing to grow and succeed in the future.'
