Eric J. Rollinger
Minimizing his clients’ overall effective tax rate, while complying with applicable laws is Eric Rollinger’s approach to practicing tax law. As an Attorney Certified Public Accountant, he frequently and successfully resolves IRS or State audits on behalf of businesses and individuals. He is a dedicated advocate for his clients and helps them understand and properly present the facts of their cases to achieve their desired results.
Within the tax arena, Eric handles business valuations as well as federal and state controversy matters. He is credentialed in business valuation by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. In 2012, Super Lawyers magazine named Eric a Rising Star among Maryland attorneys.
Prior to joining Stein Sperling, Eric worked for three years as a tax consultant at a “Big Four” accounting firm. There, he supervised the preparation of Fortune 500 tax returns, resolved federal and state tax controversies and performed tax research.
Eric is actively involved in many professional organizations both on national and state levels, staying current with evolving tax laws and regulations. In 2006, he co-authored an article in the Journal of State Taxation regarding the Northwest Airlines v. Wisconsin DOR case and its implications for tax incentive challenges.
Outside of the office, Eric indulges his passion for tennis and golf. He also enjoys history and competitive trivia.
