Kendra H. Merchant
Having established a foundation of legal knowledge as well as analytical and advocacy skills, Kendra Merchant enjoys the challenge of identifying and working toward optimal results for her clients. Her practice focuses on assisting clients with international tax and foreign asset reporting matters as well as business taxation and planning for C and S corporations, partnerships and LLCs, including mergers, acquisitions and other transactions.
Prior to joining Stein Sperling, Kendra was a legal intern with the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works where she researched tax reform, creating reports on tax cuts and matching tax revenue creation. She also served as a student law clerk with the United States Bankruptcy Court where she examined issues related to dischargeability for breach of contract debt and lease assumption of non-residential real property by the debtor.
Away from the office, Kendra enjoys spending time in the great outdoors and traveling. Some of her past adventures include attending Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, reaching the “End of the World” at Torres del Paine National Park in the Chilean Patagonia, as well as freediving and spearfishing in the Abaco Islands of the Bahamas.
