Ann G. Jakabcin
The personal approach that defines Ann Jakabcin’s estate and lifetime wealth planning practice goes far beyond her deep attention to client service. With a sincere appreciation of her clients’ unique needs and situations, Ann works closely with them to build individualized plans that meet their goals. Providing guidance to clients throughout life’s various stages, she builds long-lasting relationships that often span generations.
As Co-Chair of the Estates & Trusts Practice Group, Ann concentrates her practice in estate planning for large and small estates, lifetime wealth planning and estate and trust administration. Her background in tax law gives her the insight to create and administer plans that offer the flexibility to adapt to the changing world of tax laws and IRS regulations while at the same time providing maximum wealth preservation.
With over 30 years of experience, Ann is highly respected by clients and peers alike. She has been recognized since 2007 by Maryland and DC Super Lawyers magazines, and in 2011 they named her among the Top 25 Female Attorneys in Maryland and among the 50 Female Attorneys in Washington, D.C. Ann also received the prestigious Excellence in Education Award from PESI, LLC, a leading organization that presents continuing education seminars. A frequent speaker and educator on various estate planning topics, she has addressed audiences including the Association of Practicing Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Society of Accountants, and the American Society of Women Accountants, as well as groups of financial professionals and local community members.
Outside of Stein Sperling, Ann’s strong skills with numbers and strategic planning are put into play with her local bridge club, where she has been a regular for nearly 30 years.
