Having served as a special agent for the National Security Agency and as a criminal investigator in the Major Frauds Unit of the State’s Attorney’s office in Montgomery County, Dave Driscoll applies investigative and analytical skills to the criminal defense and litigation matters he handles for his clients. As Co-Chair of the firm’s Criminal Law Practice Group and a senior member of the Family Law and Civil Litigation groups, he brings to his practice a levelheaded, problem-solving approach, a keen attention to detail and a passion for protecting his clients’ rights.

A preeminent trial lawyer with over 30 years of experience and success in criminal defense, family law and complex civil litigation, Dave is at home in the courtroom. He has conducted numerous criminal and civil jury trials and maintains an active trial practice in the district and circuit courts. Dave has also served as a court-appointed trustee, mediator and arbitrator in both family and civil cases.

Dave is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an organization whose prestigious membership is by invitation only and extended to lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy, as well as embody the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Since 2009, he has been recognized as a top attorney in the Washington D.C. and Maryland editions of Super Lawyers magazine.

An active member of the Bar, Dave has served two terms as a member of the Bar Association of Montgomery County’s Executive Committee, as well as on numerous other standing and special committees, including terms as Chair of the District and Circuit Court Bench Bar Committees. Additionally, he is a past member of the Board of Governors of the Maryland State Bar Association (1996-1998).

Outside of the firm, Dave has been a performer in the Bar Association of Montgomery County’s annual Bar Revue and a singer in a rock ‘n roll band that has performed for various events and charities throughout the Washington, D.C. area. His skills before the microphone have led to him serving as Master of Ceremonies at bar events for over 30 years and as a speaker at events honoring judges and other influential members of the legal community.
