Jeff Schwaber, Co-Chair of the Firm’s Civil Litigation practice group, concentrates his practice on complex business disputes and controversy litigation representing local and national companies emphasizing business, employment, technology and real estate matters. With over 20 years experience, he is known for his cutting-edge approach to the most complex corporate litigation problems, and for his ability to streamline and multitask in his mid-sized firm cases which are normally reserved for the region's mega-firms.

Super Lawyers recognized Mr. Schwaber on its 2010 lists of the top attorneys in the Washington DC Metropolitan area and the top 50 attorneys in Maryland. He is also listed as one of the American Trial Lawyers Association’s Top 100 Lawyers. Mr. Schwaber was appointed and currently serves as one of two Montgomery County, Maryland representatives on the Governor's Statewide Advisory Committee for Maryland's Business and Technology Court. He also was appointed by the Chief Judge to the Montgomery County Civil DCM Working Group, which is tasked with assessing and revamping the Court’s case management system. Mr. Schwaber has been called on by the courts to serve as Special Discovery Master in complex business disputes, and has been engaged as a private arbitrator in multiparty and multi-district arbitration. In addition, he has been involved in multiple Track VI (Complex Business and Technology) cases in Montgomery County, including a multiparty dispute over ownership of professional sports franchises and a fight to vindicate the rights of an entrepreneur with regard to a breakthrough medical device at Georgetown University Hospital. Mr. Schwaber is AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Throughout his career, Mr. Schwaber has been highly involved with the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless, an organization that provides pro-bono legal services to the homeless. As a Georgetown law student, he conceived of and helped launch Home Court, an annual Congressional basketball game to raise money for the Legal Clinic. As Chair of its Fundraising Committee for over 20 years, he has helped raise nearly four million dollars. Mr. Schwaber is also a former President of the Legal Clinic and current member of its Board.

Mr. Schwaber received a B.A. degree cum laude from Harvard University and a J.D. degree from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he received awards for Outstanding Commitment to Public Service and for Outstanding Service to the Law Community.
