A member of the Civil Litigation practice group, Ms. Lombardo concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation, including real estate, shareholder disputes, contract, employment, estates, negligence and fraud matters. While a litigation practice necessarily involves preparing cases for trial, she always keeps her clients’ ultimate goals in mind and focuses on crafting creative solutions beyond litigation. Should litigation become necessary, however, Ms. Lombardo offers her experience as a trial attorney, including jury trials and bench trials as well as arbitration and administrative proceedings. She has also successfully resolved matters at all stages of the litigation process through alternative dispute resolution, including mediation.

Ms. Lombardo is active in the Montgomery County Bar Association and the State Women’s Bar Association (WBA) as well as the Montgomery County Chapter of the WBA. She is on the Board of the State WBA, serving as the Chair of the Newsletter Committee, and she recently received the President’s Award for her work with the organization. Ms. Lombardo is the Chair of the Membership Committee of the Montgomery County WBA and served as the Public Relations Chair for the WBA’s 2010 Triennial Auction, which raised funds for the organization’s charitable work. She also serves on the Fee Dispute Committee of the Montgomery County Bar Association, has participated for several years as a judge in the County’s High School Mock Trial Competition and is a member of the Commercial Litigation Section of the Bar Association.

Prior to moving to Montgomery County, Ms. Lombardo practiced in Philadelphia at a large international law firm where she was a senior associate in the Commercial Litigation Group, handling litigation in the state and federal Courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey as well as throughout the country on a pro hac vice basis. Ms. Lombardo has served as a trained court-appointed Child Advocate representing abused and neglected children and performed pro bono work for other disadvantaged clients, including in the area of immigration. Immediately prior to joining Stein Sperling, she practiced in a boutique Georgetown law firm specializing in federal class action litigation throughout the United States.

A native of Long Island, New York, Ms. Lombardo served as a judicial intern to a New York Supreme Court Judge and assisted with civil and criminal matters in the office of the Attorney for the Town of North Hempstead. She received a B.A. cum laude from Hofstra University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the University Honors Program, and the Model United Nations Team. Ms. Lombardo also was selected by faculty to serve as a Peer Teacher in the Political Science Department. Prior to graduating from Hofstra, Ms. Lombardo was also selected to participate in the Washington Semester Program at the Environmental Law Institute in Washington, D.C. She received her J.D. from the Hofstra University School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review.

In her spare time, Ms. Lombardo enjoys horseback riding and swimming.
