With over 30 years experience, David R. Podolsky concentrates his practice in municipal law, condominium and homeowners’ associations, zoning and real estate, and estate planning and administration. Mr. Podolsky’s primary goal is to keep his clients out of court. More than just providing his clients with the common legal answers, he goes the extra mile to help reveal the questions they may not think to ask. Additionally, his clients value his prompt turnaround which often involves a response time achieved in hours versus weeks. Mr. Podolsky has served as Outside Counsel and as a Hearing Examiner for Montgomery County, Maryland, as well as Special Counsel for the City of Gaithersburg and Assistant City Attorney for Rockville. A past President of the Maryland Municipal Attorneys Association, he has represented many municipalities including the City of Rockville, Town of Chevy Chase, and Village of Martin’s Additions. Furthermore, he often speaks at the Maryland Municipal League Convention. For six years, Mr. Podolsky conducted a general law practice with a local firm before becoming a sole practitioner for 22 years. He then joined Stein Sperling as Of Counsel in 2005. He received a B.A degree with high honors from the University of Maryland and a J.D. degree from the Georgetown University Law Center. Mr. Podolsky is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, and Phi Sigma Alpha In addition, he is AV Rated in Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Podolsky is an avid runner in his spare time.
