An attorney with 40 years experience, William J. Scott concentrates his practice in real estate law, business law, intellectual property, financing, buy-sell agreements, and construction with an emphasis in commercial leasing. With his breadth of experience, he knows how to craft successful deals by skillfully managing the expectations of all parties involved in the business transaction while protecting his clients’ interests. Mr. Scott’s enduring commitment to community service is demonstrated through his work with senior citizens. He frequently visits senior living facilities, including Leisure World of Maryland, where he shares his knowledge of valuable memory techniques and even puts on entertaining magic shows. He also offers will preparation services to people who have a family member in a hospice. Prior to becoming Of Counsel to Stein Sperling, he was an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Baltimore and an instructor at the Boston University School of Law and the University of Maryland. Mr. Scott received a B.S. degree and a J.D. degree with honors from the University of Maryland, where he was a member of the Law Review and received the American Jurisprudence Award for academic performance in three subjects He also received an LL.M. degree from the Harvard University School of Law. .
