Ann G. Jakabcin is the Chair of the Estate Planning Practice Group. She concentrates her practice in estate planning for large and small estates, lifetime wealth planning and estate and trust administration. Ms. Jakabcin holds a LL.M in Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center and is licensed in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. She has over 30 years experience and is highly respected by clients and peers alike. Ms. Jakabcin takes a personal approach with each client and their families, building individualized plans that meet the unique needs of each situation. The 2009 editions of Maryland and DC Super Lawyers have recognized Ms. Jakabcin as a top attorney in the Washington DC Metropolitan area, in addition to being recognized in 2007 and 2008. She has received the prestigious Excellence in Education Award from PESI, LLC, a leading organization that presents continuing education seminars. Ms Jakabcin is a past President of the Estate Planning Council of Suburban Maryland and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Montgomery County Community Foundation. A frequent speaker and educator on various estate planning topics, she has addressed audiences including the Association of Practicing Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Society of Accountants, and the American Society of Women Accountants, and several financial professionals. For 16 years, she co-authored J. K. Lasser’s book, “Year Round Tax Strategies.” Ms. Jakabcin holds an AV rating with Martindale Hubbell, the highest peer review rating an attorney can receive.
